Barefoot and Company Leadership Lends a Hand in Charlotte

Charlotte, NC – Marketing Manager and Director of Operations, Laura Barefoot and Bill Green, of Barefoot and Company volunteered at the Charlotte Rescue Mission on the evening of March 30th.  The volunteer effort was organized through the National Association of the Remodeling Industry and members of the NARI community were also involved at the Mission.

Always eager to give back, Barefoot & Company employees did not hesitate to help prepare and serve dinner to the men at the rescue mission.  Each volunteer was assigned a task to ensure all preparations would be made in time. Bill Green helped in the kitchen by preparing the meat and the sauce that was used for the sandwiches while Laura Barefoot poured drinks.

Bill Green also participated in the NARI Golf Team Challenge on Thursday, April 29, 2010.  This golf tournament raised money for the Jim Harkey Memorial Fund.

“It was great to be able to take part in a volunteer effort to help others here in Charlotte.  We are thankful to the NARI organization for providing opportunities such as this one to help our community,” stated Laura Barefoot.

Barefoot and Company has been integrally involved in the Charlotte Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), the exclusive trade association of the remodeling industry.

"NARI gives its members the advantage of affiliation with a proven remodeling authority, with opportunities for networking, education, and community service, and gives homeowners the sense that NARI members represent professionalism and integrity,” stated Charlene Smith, Executive Director of NARI Charlotte.

Smith says, "Barefoot and Company is a shining example of how a member company can take full advantage of all NARI has to offer, as a contributor to our annual home improvement Surplus Sale, a driving force in our annual Membership Drive, as well as a volunteer in our community outreach programs.  As an active participant, Barefoot and Company has skillfully positioned its personnel, products and services in the mind of the consumer."

Barefoot & Company is no stranger to philanthropic work  as they have been involved with Habitat for Humanity, providing windows, locks, and mirrors for  the homes built, and also establishing the Bob Barefoot Foundation, which will benefit numerous charities in the Greater Charlotte area.
